The Expo
Our team at Bird + Duck Media is excited to be producing the West Coast Homesteading Expo!
In response to our society's deep need for a return to simplicity, a focus on sustainability, and a cultural shift back to homesteading, our team has developed the West Coast Homesteading Expo. This event launched in the Western Washington region, hosted at the Washington State Fair Event Center in the Agriplex and Tractor Arena in 2026.
As new generations seek to control their food sources, the homesteading culture is being embraced with new vigor. The expo features workshops with expert speakers, live demonstrations, homestead-related product sales, animal features, giveaways, and much more! From gardening, landscaping, greenhouses, best practices, baking, sourdough-making, seeds, and livestock, the show has something for all current and aspiring homesteaders. Let’s turn our city and suburban yards into urban gardens and homesteads!
Our team has almost two decades experience in managing large format events including community-focused expo events. Past events have included The Baby Bump Expo NW, South Sound Wedding Shows, Mary Bridge Festival of Trees, Tacoma Wedding + Event Show, as well as other non-profit fundraising events.
Land Statement
Our team at the the West Coast Homesteading Expo acknowledges that we operate our Vancouver event on the traditional homelands of the Chinook and Cowlitz Tribes, and the Puyallup event on the traditional homelands of the Puyallup and Nisqually Tribes, as well as on lands with significance to other Coast Salish Tribes. These tribes and people have lived on and stewarded these lands since time immemorial and continue to do so today. We recognize that this land acknowledgement is one small step toward true allyship and honor their voices and the histories of the Indigenous people of the South Sound and southwest Washington regions.
